BSG Ecology is an award-winning independent ecological consultancy established in 1997 by ecologists with backgrounds in conservation, research and consultancy. The practice remains ecologist-owned and is science-led. It operates from six offices, employing a large professional team of ecologists working on projects across the UK, including major new developments, urban regeneration, transport and energy infrastructure projects, biodiversity and policy research, support to local authorities and private clients.
BSG Ecology provides a complete ecology service from baseline survey for habitats and protected species to impact assessment, biodiversity management planning, project design and expert witness advice. We are committed to providing high quality work. We routinely invest in training and research. We operate to our own internal technical standards and peer review process. Our ecologists are bound by the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management’s (CIEEM) code of professional conduct.
BSG Ecology is delighted to support the work of the Oxford University Nature Conservation Society. BSG invests a great deal of time in early career ecologists when they join the practice and hope our sponsorship of OUNCS and our commitment to support the Society this year through talks and events will support positive action for biodiversity in and around Oxford and help budding professional ecologists make the next step in their careers.
